WHY BLUE
Our competition is loud. I chose blue because trust is the moat. Trust looks calm, not flashy. The whole palette defers to the work instead of shouting over it.

MODERN, NOT LOUD
"Modern" is easy to overdo. The brief was to look like a 2026 company without looking like a demo reel. Every motion decision passes one filter: does it help the user, or just perform for them?

SMALL FLOURISHES, BIG LIFT
Magnetic buttons. A full intro sequence. A background that responds to your cursor. Tiny craft decisions, stacked. Crafted by hand, not generated.

THE WAY I BUILD

NextUp, the case study above, is my own company. I built the site, the brand, the product. It's proof of capability, not the ceiling of it.
One person. Every decision.
I don't outsource the taste. Typography, motion, copy, the 200ms on a button press. Those are mine. The standard is "would I ship this on my own site?" That standard doesn't loosen when the logo on the brief changes.
Fast enough that you don't notice.
Most sites feel slow the second you scroll. Mine don't. Speed isn't a perk. It's the line between "premium" and "pretending."
